Scenery photos

This is the first moonrise of the season--so cool!  Much better in real life than this picture can show.

This was a lucky (and very blurry) shot of the auroras and the Dark Sector Lab.  DSL was our first big project for the winter.  Funny thing is, now it is already being gutted and remodeled and it has never even been inhabited.

Nice aurora shot. Even though I overexposed it.  DOH!

This is more what the auroras actually looked like.  They are amazing.  They move and dance through the sky, and even light up the place when there is no moon.  Love 'em.

The credit for this photo goes to our local Rocket Scientist (and I mean that--he is!) Dana Hrubes.

One of the numerous dead ends in the under-"ground" water / sewer tunnels.

In 2004, we opened the new greenhouse.  It functioned sporadically, so we still used the greenhouse in the dome as well.
